After the relaunch of its iconic Bobby fragrance flacon last year, Parfums Christian Dior has come out with a limited edition for 2022. The flacon sports an engraved metal medal, while the ribbon takes its cues from a dress designed by Dior Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri.

In 2021, Parfums Christian Dior revived its iconic Bobby fragrance flacon launched in 1952. This year, the brand has unveiled a new limited edition of the canine-shaped flacon, with a new medal and ribbon as opposed to the 2021 version. Semi-automatic glassmaker Waltersperger oversaw the project, creating the complex flacon that is frosted (Gerard Pariche). The cap is decorated with the dog’s features in black (Nigermat). This year, the medal (Safrane) is in engraved metal rather than a sticker.

The satin bow adorning Bobby’s neck (Safrane) is printed then hand embroidered with multi-colored thread to create a floral print. The bloom motif a nod to the multi-colored millefiori garden dreamed up by Dior Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri in Dior’s latest advertising campaign.

Some 3,200 numbered flacons were produced. They house the new Miss Dior eau de parfum: a rose accord with notes of iris and peony.
