Dior’s Les Récoltes Majeures fragrances come in amphora designed by Christian Dior for the flacon of 1956 fragrance Diorissimo. They are topped with caps sporting flowers crafted by Parisian embroidery house Maison Vermont.

LVMH-owned Dior has unveiled Les Récoltes Majeures, a fragrance trilogy launching at intervals between May and September 2025. Lily-of-the-valley, rose, jasmine... the scents are based around flowers that grow in Dior’s chateau La Colle Noire near Grasse in France.

"I wanted to sculpt fragrances according to the characteristics of each of the three flowers by combining contemporary technologies with traditional extraction techniques derived from Grasse craftsmanship," Dior Fragrance Creation Director Francis Kurkdjian said in a statement. He notably leveraged headspace technology, an extraction process by which the aromatic molecules of an odoriferous substance are captured for analysis.

An amphora topped with a flower cap

The scents come in the amphora bottle designed in 1956 by Christian Dior himself for the Diorissimo scent. Produced by Waltersperger, the bottle is crowned by a floral cap; Parisian couture embroidery house Maison Vermont (owned by Dior) come up with three different versions. Custom tools were developed to shape the fabric flowers, which required flat embroidery to be thought in 3D so that they would hold their shape in the air. Assembled to the millimeter, each cap required a significant number of trials before they could bloom atop the flacon.

To create the lily-of-the-valley bouquet, the small white satin bells are shaped using the boulage technique then fully embroidered with micro tube-shaped gold beads. The flowers are fixed onto a re-embroidered brass stem, assembled with their leaves that are shaped to echo Dior’s iconic sun pleating technique.

The roses combine fabric petals and an embroidered center with pink leaves made of tulle with brass-embroidered edges. As for the jasmine, a golden fabric is layered with a second, more airy layer of traditional embroidery made with twisted brass thread. The intertwining is held together by a golden ball at the center of each flower, again supported by a brass stem.

Muguet kicks off Dior fragrance trilogy

The first scent in the fragrance trilogy to launch is Muguet, which hit the market in May. It will be followed by Rose in June and Jasmin in September. Just 200 of each of the 125ml fragrances will be available.

Les Récoltes Majeures join Dior’s lineup of exceptional pieces, which include Sauvage by Baccarat, a 500ml bottle made by Baccarat holding Sauvage Elixir; Miss Dior by Eva Jospin and L’Or de J’adore by Jean-Michel Othoniel, a gold-plated bronze sculpture housing L’Or de J’adore, Kurkdjian’s first fragrance for Dior which launched in 2023.
